An assistance animal can be life-changing, but the journey to find one is often overwhelming. ​

Between assessing different training organisations, managing years-long waitlists, and seeking funding support, it is easy to feel lost. The financial and emotional stakes are incredibly high, and people often lack an independent expert to turn to for honest advice.

I do not sell assistance dogs or offer obedience training. Instead, I provide specialised, objective consultations. Whether you are wondering if an assistance animal is right for you or your family, or you need help evaluating your options, I provide the advice you need to move forward with confidence.

Services and Pricing

All consultations are conducted via secure, 60-minute video conferencing.

Option 1: The Strategy Session

This is the best for getting immediate answers and exploring your current options.

  • 60-minute one-on-one video consultation

  • Objective advice on how an assistance animal may support you or your family, how to meet the animal's welfare needs, and what to expect when transitioning to life with an assistance animal.

  • Answers to your specific questions about your, or your family's, unique needs. 

 

Fee: $250

Option 2: The Summary Report Session

This is best for individuals and families who need formal documentation to share with their care team or allied health professionals. 

​

  • 60-minute one-on-one video consultation

  • Everything included in the Strategy Session

  • A personalised, 1-2 page written summary delivered after the session, including an overview of the relevant evidence base to share with your care team. 

 

Fee: $385

How it Works

  1. Select your time. Use the booking button above to choose a time that suits you. ​

  2. Tell me about your situation. During booking, you will be prompted to fill out a brief intake form. This ensures that I understand you/your family's needs before we even meet, so we can maximise our hour together. 

  3. Secure your booking. Once I receive your completed intake form, I will send you an invoice for the session. Consultation fees must be paid in advance to confirm the booking. Note that bookings left unpaid 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting will be automatically cancelled. 

  4. Meet online. You will receive a calendar invitation with a video link for our session. ​

What to Expect During Our Session

During our session, I can provide advice on:​

  • Potential benefits: How an assistance animal could specifically support you or your family.

  • Realistic challenges: The practical, day-to-day realities and demands of having an assistance animal.

  • Transition planning: How to successfully and safely integrate the animal into your home and routine.

  • Animal welfare: Practical strategies to ensure your assistance animal's ongoing wellbeing and ethical care.

  • The scientific evidence: The current research surrounding assistance animals for your specific disability, which is useful for government funding applications.

  • Provider vetting: What to look for in a training organisation, including industry standards and good practices.

I will not be able to provide:

  • Specific provider recommendations: I do not endorse individual training providers. This ensures my advice remains completely independent, objective, and focused solely on your needs.

  • Guarantees on NDIS funding: While I can advise you on the types of evidence the NDIS typically looks for in an application, I cannot make any promises regarding funding outcomes for the NDIS or any other funding bodies.
